One of my biggest pet peeves is when companies slap a symbol, like a pink ribbon for breast cancer or any color ribbon for anything, just to market an item, just to make people feel better about themselves when they buy it. But today I saw something and it made me feel quite happy:
Dairy Queen has teamed up with the Children's Miracle Network and on this Thursday, August 7, 2008, all of their profits, not a portion, all of their profits will go to this organization.
What that means is that I will be going to Dairy Queen for a lovely chocolate sunday and you should too. Also, check out their website to learn more about Miracle Treat Day (how awesome is that name?).
